5 French Vintage Fondue Plates, Sectioned Buffet Portion Control Plates (B58)

This is a set of 5 French porcelain fondue plates. These fondue plates have the makers stamp on the base of each one as well as the wording Raymond Oliver, creation exclusive, porcelaine des Tuileriee, Coupe d'or du Bon Gout Francais, Diploma Prestige de France. - this translates as Raymond Oliver, exclusive creation, Tuilerie porcelain, Gold Cup of French Good Taste, Diploma Prestige de France. 
Raymond Oliver (27 March 1909 – 5 November 1990) was a French chef and owner of Le Grand Véfour restaurant in Paris, one of France's great historical restaurants. Oliver detested nouvelle cuisine, preferring the rich ingredients favoured by the chefs in his native Gascony. these plates will be at least 30 years old and are for serving meat fondue -fondue bourguinonne. This is a kind of fondue, where pieces of meat are dipped and cooked in hot oil. Usually it is served with a number of dips, which are based on mayonnaise. It was created and first served in Lausanne, Switzerland, in 1948. 
These are beautifully decorated plates which would be a great way to serve, not just fondue but meat dishes at a BBQ as they have a cow picture on. 
These were bought at a traditional French brocante market and are in a good used condition with no cracks. Any little white marks are reflections of light from the photography not flaws. There are 5 fondue plates in the set.
