Vintage Cast Iron Traditional Bread Slicer, Vegetable Slicer, circa 1950s (C43)

This is a beautiful traditional cast iron 1950s bread slicer in good used condition with a rustic appeal. This was purchased at a traditional French market although it is German made by Brot Max, it would have been used to cut French baguettes or bread, it can also be used to slice vegetables, cheese or other food items. This has a rustic vintage charm that would suit a retro industrial style or country farmhouse kitchen. It would also be useful as a vintage prop or for an unusual recipe book stand. As shown in the pictures this is in good used condition for its age with a slicer which can be easily removed for sharpening. The cast iron has the usual bits of rust and the wood may have been replaced at some point or possibly has been cut or refurbished in its past as it has a rough edge. This has the makers mark on the handle which is not painted, it is bare cast iron.
