This is a vintage French taxidermy Roe deer head mount bought from a traditional French brocante market in northern France. This is a mounted head on a wooden mount in a good used condition for its 50+ years. This is a tidy piece with some marks and wear to the wooden plaque as shown in the photos and a little gap at the where the head meets the mount, quite common, probably a little shrinkage from age, not loose just the usual slight movement; it is very secure on the wood. The head ears are complete, these are often split and damage from over handling but these are quite good. This deer head would make a great gift for a deer hunting or hunting enthusiast or alternatively would be an unusual home decoration; these are often used as quirky hat racks!
