Pair of Vintage French Wrought Iron Shutter Dogs, Window Shutter Locks (B10)

This is a pair French vintage wrought iron window shutter latches or locks known as shutter dogs. These were, and still are used in French home to hold back shutters once they are opened. We have 4 sets of these for sale (price is for one), all bought at a traditional French brocante market. These are old, at least from the 1970s, probably earlier, and are in keeping with their 50+ years. They have rust, flaking paint and tarnishing. All 4 pairs are in a similar condition and all match each other. As all the items we sell are used or vintage they will show signs of a previous life, this is part of their unique French shabby chic appeal and vintage history not flaws, as such if you are looking for new, then our items may not be for you.
