This is a vintage French small taxidermy Roe deer head on a wooden mount bought from a traditional French brocante market. This taxidermy deer head is mounted on a thin piece of wood with some marks, not the usual quality mounts, in a very basic rustic fashion so is sold as a project for refurbishment rather than a pristine piece. This is an amateur taxidermy specimen, not a professional piece and is priced to reflect this. This is a small and lightweight piece with some wear and a little damage to the ears. The total weight is only 0.8kg, it would make a great gift for a taxidermy collector keen on renovation pieces or for the start of a collection, equally it would make a quirky hat stand in a hallway.
