French Opaline Glass Coolie Light Shade, Vintage Pendant Lampshade 1940s (B48)

This is a French vintage opaline glass coolie pendant lightshade complete with new twisted a brass gallery. This is not supplied with wiring or a bulb holder. See our Etsy shop for listings which include UK wiring and bulb holders. This vintage milk glass shade is in a good used condition as shown in the photos with no cracks. It is made from white milk glass with a clear rim, known as a pie crust light or coolie light. This is not a factory made shade, it is handmade so may have some bubbles and light marks in the glass from the making process, these are not cracks. There are the usual few nibbles to the top section under the brass fitment. It was bought at a traditional French brocante market. All the items we sell are used or vintage and will show signs of a previous life, in the case of lights like these this may mean flaws in the glass during the making process, eg. bubbles. This is part of their unique French shabby chic appeal. As such, if you are looking for something 'new' then this is probably not for you.
