French Ceramic Cornichons Pot, Vintage Style Gherkin Jar, French Kitchen (A27)

This is a traditional French cornichons pot with a lid in a shabby chic style. Cornichons are dilled gherkins, not sweet gherkins. If a recipe calls for cornichons, it is referring to the dilled variety of gherkins popular in French cooking. This French ceramic jar has a lovely country style feel and would look great in any French style, country style, farmhouse or vintage inspired kitchen. It has a hoop on the side where a spoon or fork can be stored (not included). This is dated on the base as 1993 and the makers mark of Eisa. This was bought at a traditional French brocante market, as is all my stock and will have signs of a previous life, as such, if you are looking for brand new, then this may not be for you.
