4 French Rustic Escargot Dishes, Vintage La Bourguignonne Snail Pots Plates (A8)

This is a set of 4 vintage escargot serving dishes with a handle and the makers stamp La Bourguignonne on the base of each one. Each of these vintage dishes is made from a brown colour ceramic stoneware with a yellow interior and holds 6 escargots (snails). These are all handmade, as such the shade of colour will vary slightly across a set. These could be used for serving cooked snails or are often used for quails egg dishes. They were purchased at a traditional French brocante market and would suit a retro style kitchen, farmhouse kitchen or would be great in a French restaurant or bistro. These are in a good used condition with some marks from years of use in a French home, as shown in the pictures which form part of the description and reflected in the lower than usual selling price.
