2 French Rustic Emile Henry Escargot Plates, Set of Vintage Snail Pots Bowls (B83)

This is 2 vintage Emile Henry escargot serving dishes with handles and the makers stamp on the base of each one. Each of these vintage dishes is made from a rust brown colour ceramic stoneware and holds 12 escargots (snails). These could be used for serving cooked snails or are often used for quails egg dishes. These were purchased at a traditional French brocante market and would suit a retro style kitchen, farmhouse kitchen or would be great in a French restaurant or bistro. These are in a good used condition as shown in the pictures which form part of the description with some flaws from the making process as shown (a knobbly bit on the underside of one handle and a few light usage marks). All the items we sell are used or vintage and will show signs of a previous life. This is part of their unique French shabby chic appeal.
