French Fondue Serving Set by Gien, 6 Plates with Matching Serving Bowls (A124)

This is a complete French Gien fondue service. These fondue sets are usually only found as plates, to find a complete set is very unusual. The set contains 6 plates and 4 small sauce serving pots, all with lids which can also double up as extra plates and a larger serving bowl. This set is for beef fondue. The Gien making process is all done manually. Up to twenty hands touch each piece - from moulding, firing and decorating. Various artists are chosen to produce the unique designs which are executed with strict attention to detail and quality control. These were bought at a French brocante market and are in a good used condition as shown in the photos.
