This is a single vintage style handmade tap (1 tap) which has copper pipework and a brass tap head with detachable nozzle. This kitchen or bathroom tap is supplied with 3 fitting screws and would look fabulous with any Belfast sink or alongside the French copper basin and sinks available in the Copper Sinks and Taps section of our website shop. All the taps we sell are rustic in design and do not have aerators so the flow of water is a continuous stream similar to that of an outdoor tap.

FITTING: As this is fixed by screws from the top, not from a nut underneath, it is not suitable for a quartz, granite, marble or slate tops. This is suitable for wooden and laminate worktops. Please check with your fitter or message for advice before buying if you are unsure or checkout out our 'Frequently Asked Questions' section below. This has been well made and has a nicely polished finish, it is supplied in one piece not in separate pieces and does not come apart. It has 15mm standard UK copper water inlet pipe which is suitable for bathroom basins, kitchen sinks, camper van conversions and outdoor sinks but may not be suitable for some baths which have a different size pipe connection, check before buying if this is for a bath.

DISPATCH TIME: can vary as we travel between the UK and France regularly from March-November. This is usually 3-5 working days but can occasionally be longer if we are away. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you sell this as a pair?
-Yes we do, please see the following listing for a pair of these. Victorian Style Brass and Copper Taps – All Things French Store

The measurements are not suitable for me, can it be made to my own measurements?
-Yes, this tap can be made to measure at no extra cost. See listing Custom made to Measure Vintage Style Copper and Brass Pillar Tap, ideal for a Belfast sink – All Things French Store

Can I return this if it is not suitable?
We do accept returns on all orders except made to measure custom taps. However, we would encourage you to check the measurements carefully and ask questions before buying if you are unsure, in order to keep our losses as a small business to a minimum.

Do you sell any other style of copper and brass taps?
-Yes we do. See the 'Copper Sinks & Taps' section of our online shop where you will find 4 or 5 different styles as well as a beautiful mixer tap in copper and brass.

What size is this tap?
- See measurements on the photographs for exact sizes.

Can this tap be used as a mono bloc mixer tap?
- No, unfortunately this cannot be used as a mono bloc. This is a single feed tap which can take either a cold feed, or a hot feed, but not both.

What size is the water inlet pipework for this tap?
-All our taps have the standard 15mm water inlet pipework, this is the pipe below the countertop where the water is connected.

Can this be fitted directly into a basin or sink?
-No, this tap does not fit into basin or sink pre cast holes. This is designed to fit onto a countertop. This is fitted by screwing the brass base into the top of the counter from above using the screws provided. This is not fitted using a back nut.

Is this tap suitable for a bath?
-This tap will be suitable for some baths, although this style is generally sold for basins and sinks because it has a water inlet pipe which is 15mm. Some baths, particularly in older houses have a water inlet pipe of 22mm. Please check with your plumber or fitter if you are unsure of your pipe size if you are buying for a bath.

Can this tap be fitted to a quartz, slate or marble type counter top?
-No, it cannot be fitted to this type of worktop as it is fitted from above and these type of countertops would not take the 3 small drill holes required. We are looking to develop a tap for these types of counters but this is still in the design stage.

Can this be fitted in a camper van?
-Yes this can be fitted in a camper van, we have sold many of these for camper van and horse box conversions. Camper van pipework is usually smaller than standard 15mm so you will need to use reducing fittings to join them to the inlet pipes. These are readily available at any plumbers or DIY merchant.

Can I use this as an outdoor tap?
-Yes, this tap is suitable for outdoor use.

How do I connect this to my water inlet under my sink or basin?
-This is sold as a complete tap fitting which has the standard UK 15mm copper pipe attached below the counter where it is fitted. Your water inlet pipe can be attached to the tail end by soldering, compression fittings or push fit fitments.

How often will I need to polish my tap to keep it shiny and what should I use?
- Copper and brass are metals that naturally tarnish over time if left unpolished. A quick buff up every week or 2 will keep it shiny. We use Brasso wadding to keep our taps shiny. This is available at most supermarkets. Rub some wadding over the taps, let it dry for 15 minutes and buff it off with a yellow duster. If you would prefer the more rustic natural brown patina of copper then leave them unpolished and this colour will develop over time.

When will my order arrive?
-All our taps are made to order with a usual dispatch time of 3-5 days. However, this can occasionally vary as we travel between the UK and France regularly between April-October. Please check the listing for an up-to-date delivery estimate. Contact us through Etsy messages before buying if your order is urgent as these can also often be sent earlier especially when we are home in the Winter full time. All our taps are posted by Royal Mail Tracked 48 or 24 if urgent.

I have another question or I need some more advice about what tap to buy, can you help?
-Yes we can. All our taps are made by Martin, our production partner, who is a gas engineer and plumber. He is more than happy to answer questions regarding tap size, style and fitting. As we are out of the country frequently or in a noisy workshop where we cant always hear the phone, the best and quickest way to contact us is via the website Live Chat. This is not a chat bot, it is either Martin or Louise. Alternatively you can use the website contact form or leave a message on our answering machine and we will give you a call back.
