Set of 10 French Vintage Sarreguemines Fruit Bowls, Dessert Bowl Set (B56)

This is a beautiful set of 10 French fruit bowls made by Sarreguemines of France. This bowl set is in a good used condition with some light signs of wear, mainly wearing of the gold coloured trim around the edge. there are no cracks in the bowls. There are 6 different fruit designs (2 x walnut/peach, 2 x apple, 2 x pear, 2 x pineapple. 1 x orange and 1 x plum). This set would add a vintage French flair to any table. These were purchased at a traditional French brocante market and would suit a retro style kitchen or farmhouse kitchen. World renowned Sarreguemines pottery is a faience pottery that was made in the town of Sarreguemines, France, from the 18th century to the early 20th century. Sarreguemines are generally more widely known for Majolica pottery rather than this type of more dainty ceramics. I would think that these date from the1950s if not a little earlier. These are ceramic, they could be porcelain? All the items I sell are used or vintage and will show signs of a previous life. This is part of their unique French shabby chic appeal.
