This is a charming vintage rustic French milk churn. These churns were commonly used in France from around 1930/40s if not earlier to store and transport milk. This churn has a great rustic look and a lovely patina earned through many years of use. The churns have a nice wide opening at the top and make great planters and this one still has its original lid. These are often converted into stools. This is a genuine French vintage item with the makers stamp of FR. The churns were not originally sold on their own, they were just for transporting liquids, usually milk. This is in a good used condition with the usual signs of age as shown and to be expected from a used piece and shown in the pictures which form part of the description.  All the items we sell are used or vintage and will show signs of a previous life. This is all part of their unique shabby chic appeal. Please see pictures which form part of the description. See our website vintage brocante shop selling over 300 unique, vintage and up cycled French finds for your home and garden including more French kitchenware and vintage garden pieces, all sourced from markets across France.
