Vintage Le Creuset Cousances Casserole Pot, Vintage Cast Iron Stockpot (A122)

This is a vintage Cousances (Le Creuset) cast iron oval casserole stockpot. This cast iron pot was bought from a French brocante market and is a used item in a used vintage condition with signs of age as you would expect from an older item and as shown in the photos which form part of the description. It has some marks on the outside and a couple of pin head size dots inside. Cousances was a French cookware manufacturer, known for enamelled cast iron pans. The Cousances foundry in north eastern France began making cast iron pans in 1553; four centuries later, by then an international company, it was acquired by Le Creuset in 1957. Cookware under the Cousances brand continued to be manufactured by Le Creuset into the early 1980s. This is an old example which pre dates the Le Creuset takeover as it still has the original AC makers mark which stood for Andre Cousances. (These are on the base and on the little handle protector). Please bear in mind that this pan is over 65 years old so will show some signs of its age. All the items I sell are used or vintage and will show signs of a previous life.
