Vintage Le Creuset Coquelle Roasting Dish, Raymond Loewy Au Gratin Dish (B71)

This is a vintage Le Creuset coquelle au gratin dish in the iconic orange colour. This is an authentic vintage piece made of cast iron and enamel, this makes for ease of cleaning This is a rare French piece of cookware designed in 1957 by Raymond Loewy, the famed designer of the coca coal bottle around 1957. This range were sold for a fairly short period of time alongside other cookware of the same shape. This was sold as a shallow dish without a lid. Le Creuset also produced a deeper one of these which came with the lid, the lid could be used for both. this one is an original shallow au gratin dish without a lid. This dish is in a used condition as shown and in keeping with its 65+ years age, please see all pictures for a clear description and an honest reflection of this pan. The Le Creuset name is just visible on the base as is the number 4.5.
