Vintage Gien Plate Set, 6 Piece French Fondue Plates, Divided Sections (B27)

This is a complete French Gien fondue plate set for 6 people. These divided fondue plates are rarely found now still in a good usable condition; they would add a charming French flair to any fondue dinner or BBQ. The Gien making process is all completed manually. Up to twenty hands touch each piece - from moulding to firing and decorating. Various artists are chosen to produce the unique designs which are executed with strict attention to detail and quality control. These plates were bought at a French brocante market and are in a good used condition with no cracks as shown. There is some light wear and fading in places from 60+ years of use and some glaze cracking (the surface glaze, not the plate). All expected from a set at least 60 years old probably more.
