Vintage French Salt Cellar Box, Ceramic Wall Mounted Hand Painted Lidded Sel Pot (B93)

This is a traditional French salt crock or salt cellar which can be wall mounted or freestanding. This vintage French sel box has a lovely shabby chic feel and would look great in any French style, country style, farmhouse or vintage inspired kitchen. This is ceramic with a wooden lid and is in a good used condition with a little nibble as shown, usual for used items and adding to its rustic charm. This has 'fait main' on the back with some initials. This translates as hand painted and the initials will be that of the painter. I would imagine this dates from the 1970s/80s by the style. This was bought at a traditional French brocante market, as is all my stock and will have signs of a previous life, as such, if you are looking for brand new, then this may not be for you.
