vintage-french-enamel-house-number-18-large-antique-blue-white-door-plaque-20cm
Vintage French Enamel House Number 18 – Large Antique Blue & White Door Plaque 20cm

This wonderfully timeworn enamel house number plaque features the number 18 in traditional white numerals against a deep navy blue background.

At approximately 20cm x 15cm, this is the larger and older-style format of French enamel house number, substantially bigger than the smaller flat enamel plaques more commonly found today. The enamel has a gently raised or domed profile, giving the plaque a particularly traditional appearance.

Its years outdoors have left plenty of authentic character. The enamel is worn and weathered, with surface marks, losses around the edges and fixing holes, discolouration and areas of exposed and oxidised metal. Rather than detracting from the piece, these signs of age give it the wonderfully rustic appearance sought after in genuine French architectural salvage.

Key Features

• Original vintage French enamel house number
• Number 18
• Large-format traditional plaque
• Deep navy blue and white enamel
• Raised / domed enamel construction
• Four original corner fixing holes
• Heavily weathered, authentic finish
• Genuine French architectural salvage sourced in France
• Fixings not included

Dimensions

• Width: approximately 20cm
• Height: approximately 15cm

Perfect for

• House number 18
• French country homes and cottages
• Front doors and entranceways
• Garden walls and gateposts
• Period property restoration
• French farmhouse interiors
• Architectural salvage collections
• Vintage enamel sign collectors
• Gallery walls and rustic displays
• 18th birthday or anniversary decoration

Condition & authenticity

This is an authentic vintage French enamel plaque and is well worn from many years of outdoor use.
