French Vintage Glazed Stoneware Wine Jug, Pottery Pitcher, 1.5 litre (C41)

This is a lovely vintage French glazed stoneware wine jug or pitcher with French Vin Frais inscription on the front. Vin Frais translates as Fresh Wine. This has a charming feature that allows you to remove the cork and add ice cubes to keep the wine cool whilst drinking, great for white or rose wine. I cannot be sure how old this is but looking at the style probably 70/80s if not earlier. It is in good condition with no cracks or chips as shown in the pictures. The jug holds 1.5 litre so plenty big enough for more than a full bottle of wine. This charming jug would add a French flair to any home bar or dinner table. This was purchased at a traditional French brocante market as is all my stock. All the items I sell are used or vintage and will show signs of a previous life.
