French Vintage Silver Plated Dachshund Dog Cutlery Rests, Knife Rests (C97)

This is a lovely set of 6 French knife rests in the shape of dachshund dogs. These dog shaped cutlery rests are a complete set of 6 in their original box. The box is cardboard with a plastic cover and has some wear and fading with age. These have not been polished and so have tarnished a little with storage and age, they could be lightly re polished. These would look lovely at any dinner party or make a great gift for any dachshund owner. This French tableware was purchased at a traditional French brocante market as is all my stock. Judging by the box style, these are probably at least 40 years old, maybe older. they are quite heavy for these type pf rests and have a sturdy feel. All the items I sell are used or vintage and will show signs of a previous life. This is part of their unique French shabby chic appeal.
