French Vintage Escargots Snail Plates, Stuffed Mushroom Dishes, Egg Plates (A23)

This is a set of 6 vintage French escargots serving dishes with a handle on each one. Each of these vintage snail plates is made from an dark brown colour ceramic stoneware and holds 6 escargots (snails). The indentations keep the snails from falling out or shifting too much in the dish. They also ensure that all the seasoning and juices remain in the indentations. Whilst these could still be used for serving cooked snails, they would also be ideal for serving stuffed mushrooms or for quails egg dishes. These were purchased at a traditional French brocante market and would suit a retro style kitchen, farmhouse kitchen or would be great in a French restaurant or bistro. These are in a good used condition as shown in the pictures which form part of the description. Any white marks are light reflections on the pictures, not chips.
All the items we sell are used or vintage and will show signs of a previous life. This is part of their unique French shabby chic appeal.
