French Opaline Glass Coolie Shade, Vintage Pendant Lampshade With New Wiring (C3)

This is a French vintage opaline glass coolie pendant light now up cycled with new twisted vintage style wiring with a vintage brass gallery and a new UK standard bulb holder. This vintage coolie pendant light is in a good used condition as shown in the photos with no cracks. It is made from white milky glass with a clear rim known as a pie crust light or coolie light. This is not a factory made shade, it is hand made so may have some bubbles and light marks in the glass from the making process, these are not cracks. There are the usual few nibbles to the top section under the brass fitment. It was bought at a traditional French brocante market. This does not come with a ceiling rose, see the lighting section of my shop for a selection of vintage porcelain ceiling roses. All the items I sell are used or vintage and will show signs of a previous life, in the case of lights like these this may mean flaws in the glass during the making process, eg. bubbles. This is part of their unique French shabby chic appeal. As such, if you are looking for something 'new' then this is probably not for you.
