Le Creuset Cousances Vintage Cast Iron Pan, Vintage Cast Iron Pot 32cm (A135)

This is a large vintage Cousances (Le Creuset) cast iron cooking pot. This black oval cast iron cookware was bought from a French brocante market and is a used item in a used condition with signs of age including some marks on the outer pot and scratches to the outer base, as you would expect from an older item and as shown in the photos which form part of the description. Cousances was a French cookware manufacturer, known for enamelled cast iron pans. The Cousances foundry in north eastern France began making cast iron pans in 1553; four centuries later, by then an international company, it was acquired by Le Creuset in 1957. Cookware under the Cousances brand continued to be manufactured by Le Creuset into the early 1980s. Whilst I cannot be sure of its exact age, it is at least 40 years old so please bear in mind that this pan is old. All the items I sell are used or vintage and will show signs of a previous life.
