This is a WW1 British No. 103 brass fuse sourced from the Somme region in France. This would have originally been designed as a number 100 but as was common at the time, it was re stamped as a number 103 as shown on the photos. this is dated October 1916 and has been used so will show impact damage and would be an interesting piece of history to own direct from the Battlefields of the Somme. This would make an unusual paperweight as it weighs a hefty 0.85kg or would be a great gift for a militaria collector. I have a number of fuses available in the militaria section of my shop including both German and British pieces. See website for our online vintage shop selling over 300 unique, vintage and up cycled French brocante finds for your home and garden, including more militaria from The Somme region. I have a number of fuses, both German and British pieces.
weight 0.85kg
height approx 6.5cm
