This is a beautiful pair of vintage style copper and brass, wall mounted taps; handmade and water pressure tested. These have quite a small taps heads, ideally suitable for a small basin perhaps in a cloakroom or camper van. (see all pictures for sizes). These taps have an industrial rustic feel with copper pipework, brass tap heads and come supplied with 6 fitting screws; these would look fabulous with any sink or alongside the French copper up cycled basins and sinks available in the Copper Sinks and Taps section of our website shop. All the taps we sell are rustic in design and do not have aerators, so the flow of water is a continuous stream similar to that of an outdoor tap.
FITTING: All our wall mounted taps are fitted by screwing onto the front of the wall, they do not come apart, they are a sold as a complete soldered unit and you will need full access to the pipes behind your wall to fit these as they do not come apart, so please be sure you can fit them to the wall in this way or check with your plumber or ourselves before buying. These handmade taps have a nicely polished finish. If you prefer the more natural patina of copper and brass then this can be achieved by leaving the taps unpolished, over time they will darken to the natural brown copper colour. These have 1/2 inch smaller style tap heads made with 15mm standard UK fittings which are suitable for bathroom basins, smaller kitchen sinks (they would be a bit small for Belfast sinks) and camper van conversions but may not be suitable for baths as most baths have a different size pipe connection; check with your plumber first if these are intended for a bath and check the measurements.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I buy just one of these taps?
-Yes, for a single tap please order from the following listing. Antique Brass and Copper Wall Mounted Tap – All Things French Store

I need to buy more than the stock showing on the listing. Do you have more available?
-Yes we do. As we make all our taps to order we limit the number available in listings to ensure we can keep to our dispatch times. If you need more than the quantity listed, please message us and we will increase the number available to buy.

If these are unsuitable can I return them for a refund?
-We do accept returns on all orders except made to measure custom taps. However, we would encourage you to check the measurements carefully and ask questions before buying if you are unsure in order to keep our losses as a small business, to a minimum.

The measurements available are not suitable for me, can these be made shorter or longer?
-These can be made to your own requirements at no extra cost. please order from the following listing. Made to Measure Brass and Copper Wall Mounted Kitchen Rustic Industrial Style Taps – All Things French Store

Do you sell any other style of copper and brass taps?
-Yes we do. See the Copper Sinks & Taps section of our website shop where you will find 4 or 5 different styles including single and pairs of pillar taps, more wall mounted taps as well as a beautiful mixer tap in copper and brass.

What size are these taps?
-Please see measurements on the photographs in the listing for exact sizes.

What size is the water inlet pipework for these taps?
-All our taps have the standard 15mm water inlet pipework, this is the pipe below the countertop where the water is connected.

Can these taps be fitted directly into a basin or sink pre cast holes?
-No, these taps do not fit into basin or sink pre cast holes. They are designed to fit into a wall. These are fitted by screwing the brass base into the wall using the screws provided. These are not fitted using back nuts.

Can these be fitted as a direct replacement for my existing wall mounted taps?
- Probably not. These taps are made to be fitted from the front, on walls where existing access behind is available, this is usually where a house is having a refit or a new build rather than as a direct swap. These are designed and supplied as complete units already soldered together, as such they can only be fitted from the front of the wall. This means that to connect your water supply you will need full access to the wall behind where the taps are to be fitted. These do not come apart and cannot be fitted to copper pipes protruding from an existing wall. The water inlet pipes must be connected behind the wall. Please check with your fitter or message for advice before buying if you are unsure.

Are these suitable for a bath?
-These taps will be suitable for some baths, although this style is generally sold for basins and sinks. Firstly, they have a small head which would not suit a bath, and secondly they have water inlet pipes which are 15mm diameter. Some baths, particularly in older houses have a water inlet pipe of 22mm. Please check with your plumber or fitter if you are unsure of your pipe size if you are buying for a bath, or message us for advice.

Can these be fitted in a shepherds hut or camper van?
-Yes these can be fitted in a shepherds hut, we have sold many of these for camper vans, shepherds huts and horse box conversions. NB. Camper van pipework is usually smaller than standard 15mm so you will need to use a reducing fitting to join this to the inlet pipe. These are readily available at any plumbers or DIY merchant.

Can I use these as outdoor taps?
-Yes, these taps are suitable for outdoor use.

How do I connect these to my water inlet?
-All our wall mounted taps are fitted by screwing onto the front of the wall, they do not come apart, they are a sold as a complete soldered unit and you will need full access to the pipes behind your wall to fit these as they do not come apart, so please be sure you can fit them to the wall in this way or check with your plumber or ourselves before buying. Your water inlet pipe can be attached to the tail end by soldering, compression fittings or push fit fitments.

How do I keep these shiny?
- Copper and brass are metals that naturally tarnish over time if left unpolished. A quick buff up every week or 2 will keep it shiny. We use Brasso wadding to keep our taps shiny. This is available at most supermarkets. Rub some wadding over the taps, let it dry for 15 minutes and buff it off with a yellow duster. If you would prefer the more rustic natural brown patina of copper then leave them unpolished and this colour will develop over time.

When will my order arrive?
-All our taps are made to order with a usual dispatch time of 3-5 days. However, this can occasionally vary as we travel between the UK and France regularly between April-October. Please check the listing for an up-to-date delivery estimate. Contact us via live chat or online form before buying if your order is urgent as these can also often be sent earlier especially when we are home in the Winter full time. All our taps are posted by Royal Mail Tracked 48 or 24 if urgent.

I have another question or I need some more advice about what tap to buy. Can you help?
-Yes we can. These are made by our shop partner, Martin who is a gas engineer and plumber. He is more than happy to answer questions regarding tap size, style and fitting. Please message us via the online contact form or live chat. We are happy to arrange a phone call if you would prefer.
